Meisjes zonder smaak ! (Girls With No Taste)
The name ‘Girls With No Taste’ was founded by TunApolonia. They played a ‘tasteless’ style of music at parties. The funny thing is that this style of music turned out to be exactly were people are waiting for. An eclectic style of different music such as, electro, hip hop, disco, 90ties was very loved and people thought we had the right “taste”. This is the reason why we’ve got offered our own night at the club Bitterzoet. We are free to fill in this night just as we like to.
The idea of ‘Girls With No Taste’ is that we only have female artists on stage. Who get to show off there talents. This may be a performance, singing, dancing or any other artistic inspiration. Whatever the gilrs like to share with the rest of us.
During this evening there are only women dj’s behind the decks such as The Pony Peaches, Cherry Du Perr, TunApolonia, Kevin Spacies and monthly Made in June!
The best about the concept is that we go ‘on visit’, ‘Meisjes op visite’. We’re already booked on ‘Dance Valley’ and we will participate a lot more festivals this summer!
We are planing to go international. We like to get international acts to our resident in the Bitterzoet. International girl bands who will do a DJ set or a special “Gilrls With No Taste” performance.
Girls With No Taste is every 1th friday of the month at the Bitterzoet in Amsterdam.
